What We Do

The houses are still there

Drive west of Ninth Street and you will pass block after block of solid brick houses standing empty.
Not ruins. Houses with good bones, real framing, and the kind of construction nobody pays for anymore, boarded up because it costs more to fix them than they will appraise for when the work
is done.
That gap is not a market signal. It is the residue of eighty years of policy, and it is the reason a neighborhood full of housing can still be short of homes.
Revil works in that gap.

What we do We acquire and rehabilitate the housing that is already standing.

Vacant and deteriorated
single family homes and duplexes, brought back to a standard people actually want to live in, not
patched to the minimum and rented out. Where a property is genuinely beyond saving, we take the
lot and build new on it.

We hold what we rehabilitate.

The Foundation keeps ownership. That is the whole design.
Affordability holds because of who owns the property, not because of a covenant that expires in
fifteen years, and the rent stays in the Foundation, funding operations and the next house instead
of a distant portfolio.

We work at the scale of a block, not a scattered map.

Rehabilitating one house on a street of
vacant ones helps one family. Doing four on the same block changes what the street is worth, what
the neighbors can borrow against, and whether anyone else invests there. We buy in clusters where
we can

OUR MISSION

How we work

OUR MISSION

Housing is where we start, not where we stop

A rehabilitated house on a street with no grocery, no clinic, and no childcare is still a house people leave. Housing and the local economy fail together and they recover together.
Our first work is the housing itself. As the Foundation grows, we support what has to exist around it: food access, health care, childcare, and space for small businesses owned by people who livenearby.
